Web browsers have incorporated a "Do Not Track" (DNT) option to help protect user privacy. When enabled, the browser will signal to a website you visit, that you do not wish to be tracked. However, as there is currently a lack of common industry standard on how to interpret DNT, we do not respond to any DNT signals at this time. Third Party Service Providers
We may pass your Personal Information to our third-party service providers for the purposes of completing specific tasks and/or to provide services to you on our behalf, as specified above. When we utilize these third-party service providers, we will only disclose the Personal Information necessary to complete the task or deliver the service as instructed by Edmund Optics. The inclusion of a link on our “On-line Services” does not imply endorsement of the linked website or service by us or by our affiliates.
In addition, we are not responsible for the information collection, use, disclosure or security policies or practices of other organizations, such as Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, RIM or any other app developer, app provider, social media platform provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider or device manufacturer, including with respect to any Personal Information you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with our Social Media Pages.
We are committed to using all reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect the Personal Information that you provide to us. When inputting information onto our website, sensitive information (such as credit or debit card information) is encrypted and protected via SSL encryption, and is subsequently transferred and tokenized by our payment provider. Edmund Optics does not store your credit or debit card information on any of our systems.
Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us in accordance with section 17 “Contacting Us”, below.
For CA Residents - Section 1798.135 of the CCPA grants you the right to instruct us to NOT use your Personal Information for the purposes specified in section 4b of this privacy policy. You can excise this right by using any of the communication options listed below or in section 17 of this privacy policy.
Please note that we will make best efforts to action your request as soon as possible but due to the nature and scale of the marketing processes it may take up to 45 days for your request to be fully actioned across all of our marketing platforms.

In your request, please make clear what Personal Information is affected and what changes you would like to make, or let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your Personal Information. A record of any changes, deletions or withdrawals of consent will be recorded solely for the purposes of complying with our Legal Obligations under CCPA.
For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Information associated with the particular email address or mailing address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.
You may also designate authority to action any of the above on your behalf but we may need to verify your identity and/or granted authority before we can implement your request.
We will only use and store your Personal Information for as long as it is required for the purposes for which was collected. How long it will be stored for depends on the information in question, what it is being used for and, sometimes, statutory legal requirements.
Edmund Optics’ “Edmund Optics Services” are not directed to minors. As per CCPA article 1798.120 this includes individuals aged sixteen (16) to thirteen (13) as well as those under thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 16.
We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background or trade union membership) on, or through, our Services detailed in section 2. Where unsolicited sensitive Personal Information is received, it will be deleted unless there is a compelling and legitimate reason for it to be retained.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically as required. The “Last Updated” legend at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Services. Your use of the Services following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
Edmund Optics has committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints to an independent dispute resolution mechanism operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus.
