EDMUND WEBINAR SERIES
See All WebinarsJoin us for a discussion about how to properly utilize spacers to shift the working distance of a lens while avoiding performance degradation.
Request ContentMind the Gap – Key Considerations for Spacers
We invite you to attend this 30-minute lab series presented by Nick Sischka, Director of Imaging for Edmund Optics®. Join this event to learn the fundamentals of using spacers in machine vision systems.
At the end of this webinar, attendees will have a strong understanding of:
• Basic lens theory to understand how image and object distances are related
• Mechanical and optical constraints that limit working distance minimums and maximums
• What happens when you use a spacer to allow the lens to focus closer than intended
• How to mitigate negative impact to optical performance when using spacers
