TECHSPEC® High Tolerance Fused Silica Right Angle Prisms, like most right angle prisms, are used to bend image paths or redirect light at 90°. This produces a left-handed image and depending on the orientation of the prism, the image may be inverted or reverted. Right angle prisms can also be used in combination for image/beam displacement. TECHSPEC® High Tolerance Fused Silica Right Angle Prisms feature superior angle and pyramid tolerance compared to our Fused Silica Right Angle Prisms and are made from the same UV Fused Silica for use in a variety of UV, Visible and NIR applications. The prisms are offered in leg lengths from 5 to 25mm. These right-angle prisms are available uncoated or with a combination of specialized mirror coating on the hypotenuse and anti-reflection coatings on the legs that eliminate the dependence on TIR. The latter can only be used as 90° reflectors. If you wish to use Fused Silica prisms as external mirrors, please see our λ/20 Fused Silica Right Angle Prism Mirrors
