In 5 worldwide manufacturing facilities. Even when customers can't find the exact product they are looking for, we help design and then manufacture custom components to meet all the specifications that they are looking for. We've had great success with customers who are selling things from riflescopes to night vision, and then in the biomed areas of fluorescence microscopy, blood analyzers and demo cameras. Edmund is able to service and support, during the design phase, during the prototype phase which often occurs here in North America, and then as they transition for high volume production, we are able to service and support that globally. We have greater than 50 employees worldwide that cover all different types of quality. Quality is not something you inspect into a product. Quality is something that you design into a product and then ensure in its manufacture all along the line. With the advantage of having a well-staffed engineering group covering multiple disciplines, we can communicate with the customer on multiple different engineering languages, if you will. Now we have an ability to talk to the customers and understand where they are from a design standpoint. Everyone that answers the technical support questions has an engineering degree.
